REPAIR AND RESTORATION
Unfortunately, accidents happen to fishing rods. Typically these accidents involve broken and smashed guides, tiptop or the rod blank itself. These accidents are commonly accompanied with a wonderful story regarding just how or why the rod ended up in it's current (broken) condition and usually refers to a brother-in-law, offspring, or significant other. We really enjoy hearing all of these amusing broken rod stories and our services in rod repair are available.
Most of the time a rod can be restored back to working condition. Matching existing guides, existing wrap color and wrap design can normally be accomplished. There are times when exact guide matching is impossible because of unavailability of the pre-existing guides. At these times we match the existing guides as closely as possible. There are also times when we are presented with a broken rod blank where a fix can be affected but the rod action/power is impacted. Then there are those rods that just cannot be restored.
